Essential Agreements – How We Treat Each Other
A while ago, we had a session with Ms. Ashley in which we talked a lot about how we treat each other. It was a fantastic lesson and you guys said some amazing things. We collected your thoughts on things we like and things we don’t like about the way people behave towards other people in the class and then we were going to make some essential agreements. Sadly, we had tons of other stuff to do at the same time and we never got around to it.
So, let’s do it today by using the blog.

- Try and create a sentence that describes how you think people should be treated

Respect everything people say and do, take part and encourage – be a team.
I think so Paula,I agree with you.
I think people be treated with honesty and fair with everyone.
I also think that people should be nice and fair with everyone so you can get it back, if for eg:
You were really nasty and not fair nobody would be nice to you because then it wouldnt be fair if you would be nice to somebody who is mean first of all you are being stupid beacause you are encouriging that person to do it more and that person doesnt really deserve it.
I agree whit you.Because if people treat not honest, this treat is not true.
So, what sentence would describe how people should behave?
I also agree with you Paula. I like it when people are polite and gracious to other people. I don’t like it when people are rude and saying vulgarities because that can dirty your mind and you will be guilty. I would like to treat people respectfully and graciously. But people will respect me graciously when I respect them good.
I agree with you Jin, because if people treat you really well you should also treat them really well otherwise it won’t be fair for the others.

I like it when people encourage me, and help me and they listen to me. I definately hate when people are mean to or swe ar at me.

I agree with you Shikhar,if somebody encourage me, I feel happy and think things is very easy.
This is a couple of sentences I made:
“All kids in 6ss should repect others and be respected.”
“You should treat other people the way you want to be treated”.
I agree with you shikhar because we should all be helping and encouraging people to do well because we are a community.
I strongly agree with you Aayush because I really want to be treated nicely and i want others to care for me and if they do that, I will do it back to them too.
And I also agree with Shikar that we should help and encourage others because we are a community and we should help everyone not only our close friends.

I like to be treated fairly and I also think that I should treat other people like they treat me so it ould be fair for them too. And I also agree to you Shikhar because I also hated when people are mean or swear to me.
My sentence is
“People should treat others how they want to be treated”
I like to treated well because if people treated others badly then their feelings will be hurt.
I think this because if people treated people fairly then they will have lots of friends and other people will like them but if people dont treat eachother fairly then they will have very few friends and very few people will like them.
I think people should try to go over their boundaries a little bit at a time but not all at once because they might not be able to do it yet.
I like to treat people fairly because it will be unfair in sports if one person has the ball and never passes but I try to pass to everyone.
This is my sentence I made:
Respect everything how you want to be respected by other’s and be a team.
this is my sentence
” I want to know how they wanted to be treated ,so i can help them.”
My sentence is “Respect others and they’ll respect you.”
I chose the word as “respect” because respect all leads to being kind and treating others the way you want to be treated. I really think that if everyone respects everyone we wouldn’t have to go through so many other problems. We should really think about our actions and really follow the quote: “treat others the way you want to be treated”. Well if you think about it everyone will be in peace and this world wouldn’t be in such mess.
I want to be treated respectfully, kindly and fairly. I dont want to be bullied and totured so then I think that the right choice is that we should respect other people like the way you want to be treated. So then thats respect, kind, and other things, etc. I like to treat people respectfully and I be kind to them (although I fake yell at my friends that are kind of close to me. 😀 ) I think that me sentence would be ‘People are fragile, and all should be respected kindly.’ Well, people are fragile, and normally when you have something fragile that can shatter easily, you respect it and you treat it. And all people have the same amount of quality so all should e respected with the same amount.
I want to be treated nicely and kindly. I don’t want to be bullied and tortured as what Pimboon said.
I want to be treated fairly and I want people to be nice to me. Show respect to me but also challege me. I also hate it when people get there friends to turn on me even though they do not even know what happend. When Ms. Ashley talked about boundaries i really new waht she ment because it is very clear when people pass boundaries and it was good to talk about it.

I want to treat others kindly and friendly; I don’t want people to treat unkindly,because that not honest, I don’t like it. In Chinese, we say”you must respect yourself then others will respect to you” So I think respect is very important.
I thought of the quote ‘Treat people the way you want them to treat you’. I think this qupte answers most of them because it depends on who you are and how YOU want to be treated.
I agree to julien and in year 5 on thai lesson khun Warunee teached us that quote to.
I think we need to be treated with fairness and respect.In return, we need to treat each other with respect as well.

I think if treat honest ad friendly, the people can reply honest and friendly. If you treat unfriendly, maybe the people don’t want to reply to you.
