2 Videos

Hi Everyone,

I found these 2 videos on Youtube. I think both of them are really powerful:

I think this one is very meaningful especially the message at the end. I know none of us are that sick but the message could apply differently.

This one really teaches us that life is all about risks and failures. It’s a lot like our last unit where we found lots of quotes about creativity and mistakes. I especially like the quote they say in this video: “If you’ve never failed, you’ve never lived.”

Please comment and tell me what YOU think about these videos!

    Hi Andrea,

Just like you said, I think it is really powerful. I really like the quotes that said, ‘Life=Risk’ and ‘Sometimes it’s more important than medication’ after the ‘be brave’ graffiti was gone.

    Hi Andrea,
I don’t think Edison should be promoted even if he invented the lightbulb. He was ruthless to his assistant Nikola Tesla, who made great developments to AC. AC was more widely used than DC, Edison’s method, so he launched a cruel campaign against Nikola Tesla and AC. He publicly electrocuted animals using AC because he wanted money and fame.

Here is a bit of info from wikipedia about Edison being cruel:

Tesla claimed that Edison had promised him $50,000 if he succeeded in making improvements to his DC generation plants. Several months later, when Tesla had finished the work and asked to be paid, he said that Edison replied, “When you become a full-fledged American you will appreciate an American joke.”[

I didn’t know that but that was mean of Edison.
