    Hi 6SS,

I would pick “Forever Young” by Jay Z and Mr. Hudson because the song is about staying young forever. At the part when it is showing my childhood thats when the song would make its biggest effect. If you listen to the lyrics closely it would match a film about someones life.

This is the link to the song.

I would pick this song called Animal by Ke$ha for the soundtrack because it has a strong message in it. The message is to save the animals and it tell us that it is our last chance before the animal extinct. The lyrics are really strong.

    • February 23, 2012 at 6:20 pm

This song tells about me because I love animals. I also want to save them when I grow older.

    Hi,
For my soundtrack I would to have Girls Just Want To Have Fun by Cyndi Lauper. I think life should not be taken too seriously and we should all just have fun!

    Hi 6SS,

I know this may not be the best song you’ve heard, but I would choose Heal The World by Michael Jackson because it has a very powerful message about what we are doing to the world and that we should change and make the world a much more friendly place.

    • February 22, 2012 at 5:41 pm

After thinking about my blog post I have changed my mind, I would choose Earth Song also by Michael Jackson because anyone who knew me well would know that I love animals and this song represents who I am, and it is about animals and the error of our ways and it also says that there is hope and that we can change and make a difference.

    • February 22, 2012 at 8:43 pm

I also thought that was a good song.

  5. February 22, 2012 at 5:18 pm

    Hello 6SS,

I had the same idea as Melis I was also going to put heal the world I think I would put it to show people how are world is awesome place but people don’t take care of each other in world. I also agree with Melis that it has a powerful message. I want to make real change to the world so in the future we won’t have to suffer.

I would pick the song called you’ve got a friend by James Taylor because this song gives me the courage to help people by including them games when they look excluded. It also has a very good message that someone will always be there for you.
Here’s the link I hope it appears on the comment. Tammy

    Hello 6SS,
I choose a song call We Must Stand Together, and this song has a very powerful message, the message that we should stop fighting and killing people in other countrys that are a war zone and all of that, in the song he shows kids dying and toxic killing people and that shows that people doesn’t have the same rights and he is really against it so he wants to make a song about it to make people care about how bad it is.

I would pick “Levels Skrillex Remix” By Avicci because this song shows my life by music. The really loud, fast techno parts would be when I was happy, exited and crazy. and the soft clear parts would be when I was sad, feeling down and disappointed.

    Here’s the link.

    Hi 6SS,

I think Paradise by Coldplay is an appropriate song because we all have big dreams, goals and expectations in life but this song reminds me that our dreams/expectations/goals for life aren’t impossible but they are not something we can get easily. It’s a bit like the quote we use in class often: “All things are difficult before they become easy.” – Dr. Thomas Fuller.

I would also pick Fix You by Coldplay. I think some parts are really appropriate like when they sing “When you get what you want but not what you need.” because we want a lot of things but we only need the necessary and some people don’t even have that. I think this is a good way of reminding people of this.

Another song I would pick is Mean by Taylor Swift because we all have been bullied during some point in life and maybe even now in Year 6. Bullying is a big part of Year 6 and school life and we’ve all witnessed/been part of it.

Lastly, I really like this song (Safe and Sound by Taylor Swift). It really is touching and it reminds me of all the tragic things that happen in this world. Apart from that, I can’t find any other connection other than I like Hunger Games a lot. 🙂

    • February 22, 2012 at 6:45 pm

If I had to choose one, I would choose Safe and Sound by Taylor Swift because it’s my favourite out of the 4.

I would pick Your Song by Elton John and Ellie Goulding. Its written by Elton John and covered by Ellie Goulding. I chose this song because its a very emotional song but at the same time it shows about love your life, and have a bit of love. The first time I saw this video i started to have little tears running down my face.

Heres the link to my favourite video for Your song:

One of the comments said that this video is VERY inspiring and it feels like a hug.. HAHA 🙂

I want to put jars of heart in my soundtrack because it’s a wonderful song that I like and it will fit my film because it’s sad. If I put a happy song, it won’t match the sad scenes. But if you put a sad song, it fits in my film than the happy song. It doesn’t have a strong message but I think it will fit my film.

The songs I would choose would be louder by Charice and Hit the lights by Selena Gomez. I chose these songs because they both tell you to be your yourself and take chances, and I think sometimes I can be brave and be myself.

    Hi everyone,

I agree with all of the people above. But I want to choose ‘My Humility’ because it’s a song about your own personality. I think this one of my favorite song because I am really strong about my personality these days. I think this song always helps me to be stronger. I wanted to show the lyrics but I can’t find the lyrics in YouTube. Also it’s a great song for me because there are a lot of common personalities that the song have. If you want to listen to the music, I think you can ask Mr. Mark if he can give you the song.

Also I want to choose ‘You’ll be in my heart’. Of course I am really inspired by Heidi but after I thought of what I really was good at, I thought of Ms. Ashley. She is a wonderful teacher in our school and just like her, I love helping other if they are in trouble with their feelings. This song is kind of about how your parents love you, etc. It’s a very comforting song and this song was presented in Tarzan too. One of my favorite movies. I think this connects with counseling. This is the song:

Another song is ‘Reflection’ from Mulan. This is when Mulan fails her fortune test and she talks about girls not allowed to do things that boys can do. She sings about when she really will find herself. I love this song because I am in my journey to finding my own personality too. My real life, dream and more!
    So here’s the music:

    See you,
    Vicky

    • February 23, 2012 at 6:46 pm

      Hi Vicky,

I remember watching Mulan a lot when I was little! It was and still is one of my favourite movies!

      • February 23, 2012 at 7:03 pm

        Dear Andrea,

Really? That is great!! I love Mulan too! I love her perspective and her attitidute of saving her father and becoming a soldier! I guess this movie shows that girls can become lots of things. You just have to follow your heart and do what is right for you!

        • February 24, 2012 at 4:58 pm

          I totally agree!!

I would choose the song “arms” because the message is that someone in this world can see how see through you, and that someone will always get a way to persuade you, and make you make a better, or worse choice. It also has a message that you always have someone to help you, when you are stuck, or like in the song, drowning, and someone will help you come back to the surface, to show the world, not even people, just earth, that you have a talent. I think that the lyrics AND the video have good points.

    Hope you like it!

    Hi,

I think Impossible is nothing is a good song because nothing is impossible, which is related to our creativity. Famous people were always criticized for believing in the impossible and in the end what others thought was impossible was made possible. Creativity involves taking a risk and believing in yourself, even though others are trying to stop you.

“However far modern science and techniques have fallen short of their inherent possibilities, they have taught mankind at least one lesson: Nothing is impossible.”-Lewis Mumford

Another song I would pick is ‘Enlightenment’ or Wu in Mandarin. It is the ending song of the film New Shaolin temple(新少林寺). Event though it is in Mandarin, the film itself actually makes you think. It is about change and the way you act. A warlord in the early days of the Republic Of China is on the run from his traitor deputy, and is taken into the Shaolin temple after his daughter dies. He finds peace and enlightenment there. Near the end, his deputy forces the Chinese people to unearth ancient Chinese artifacts which he secretly trades with Americans for Western weaponry. The song is about sacrifice and being wise, and it reminds me of millions in the world who sacrifice something very important about their life for others.

(The following is a true story):
When a little child is born without a side of his liver(or lung), he is flown to another city, where a healthy person is willing to donate his own organ so a young life just beginning it’s journey will be able to make it.

Some parents in poor countries give all the money they earn to their children so they can get a good education and a good job, so they and their children will never have to face the hardships and difficulties of life that their parents had to face.

This is another song I like. It is from the Chinese film Fearless (霍元甲). Even though it is called Fearless in English, the title in Chinese is the name of the Kung Fu master, Huo Yuan Jia. I’m not talking about expressing yourself through fighting, but most Chinese Kung Fu, masters, like Huo Yuan Jia, fight for 中国 because a foreigner insulted them. He beat two foreign fighters who insulted the nation, openly calling Chinese “weak men of the East”. He did all this even though he had asthma, jaundice, tuberculosis, which should have made wushu/Kung Fu (武术/功夫) impossible.

So that’s it. Many recognized people rose to fame with the belief of ‘Nothing is impossible.

Out of the three, I would choose the Fearless song.

I have two songs that I want to put at my soundtrack, one of the songs is ‘Waving flag’ and the other one is called ‘Imagine’ by John Lennon.

This song is called ‘Waving flag’ and it was used in the 2010 FIFA world cup in South Africa when Spain beat Netherlands 1-0 in the final. This song really explains how much fun I had in my life and how exciting it was. This also tells me that I like football and I used to play it a lot.

This is a song called ‘Imagine’ made by John Lennon. He was assassinated by one of his fans. This is a song that I really like because this explains the cruel moments that I had in my life and how did I get over it to become more powerful.
