What effect does this have on you?

Someone sent me this on Facebook.

It makes me think. It makes me feel strong emotions. It makes me want to change the way I live.

What effect does it have on you? What could you do about it? What will you do about it?

The video of Severn Suzuki that we saw today really inspired me that children can also make a difference and the way she never gave up was inspiring, I feel bad for the people who are buying all those things because with all the money they spent could feed those kids for a really long time.

What effect does it have on you?

It reminds me that I should never give up on changing this and that I can make a difference too.

What could you do about it?

I can start small and if I know that I could do it I would go further like Severn Suzuki did.

What will you do about it?

Maybe what Severn Suzuki did she wasn’t afraid to tell her feelings to the world.

I think it is pretty unfair that children born to poverty are starving, but some other people buy some ‘junk’ that they do not need. Many people say you should ‘get what you need, not what you want.’ I don’t know what they have to buy so much for! The things they are buying are bad to the environment because they are full of plastic, and they also do not help children’s education.
Hunger and poverty does not only exist in Africa, but throughout the entire world.
I thought ‘Suzuki’ sounded like a Japanese name, so I did some research, and it turns out that her father, David Suzuki, is a third generation Canadian Japanese.
It is ironic that she said adults do not care, because some adults do care, and now she is an adult herself.

    1. The effect it has on me is that I want to switch live so it would be fair for those people who don’t have anything to eat.
    2. May be I should stop nagging to get something in the mall because the way I think is that when those people having a lot of money it look kind of silly.
    3. I will have to try to stop nagging in the mall

    Love Gina 🙂

    Hi everyone!

I think the effect it has on me is that not to buy things that I don’t really need to buy and also it told me not to use plastic bags and not to waste food and other things. This picture made me think how awful we are. It made me embarrassing when I think of it. We buy the things we even don’t need but on the other hand poor children like in Africa are starving and have nothing at all. We should use empathy for those who are suffering. We could just give the things that we don’t need to the children suffering from poverty around the world.

I could stop buying and wasting things that I don’t need at all. I could give and donate money to donations for the poor people. I could also tell other people to stop throwing plastic bags on the floor. I could make posters saying about the poor people and also how we waste so much money and time just to buy these bad things that we won’t even touch for the whole time.

I could start to tell people not to leave plastic bags on the floor and instead put them in a bin which says plastic rubbish. I could also tell some people not to waste their things that they don’t need and instead reuse it or send it to charity. I also think I could tell people to only buy what they need right now.
