What were the messages?

The play contained some serious messages about life. What were they? Do you think the predictions about the future were realistic? How do we prevent the future from being that way? What changes need to be made to the way we are living?

    Hi GUYS,

Do you think the predictions about the future were realistic?

I think it is because if people keep on polluting, our future would be exactly like the play or even worse. Because we, people are very good at polluting and the best example is wasting or throwing garbage on the floor. I think it would be for real because right now compared in the past it is also a big difference and that is because now we invent different machines and factories and other stuff.

How do we prevent the future from being that way?

Well, if people stop polluting the world and using less plastic bags. Also throwing your rubbish in the right place and not just leaving it around. I don’t really know but if we drive less cars and build less factories, huge building that would also help.

I think that the predictions will be true if we don’t stop polluting the klong and putting chemicals in the air. So we should not use plastic bags and don’t go in the car if you are going something near

I think the message means that we should stop polluting the klong. If we pollute the klong the drainage system will be worse every year.

I think that that message is that if you don’t stop polluting the klong we and destroying the earth with our plastic, car ect. So we should not pollute this world because one day they will be nothing left and we will die. Then only explanation why we are doing this is because we are use to it. Some people try to live without it but some do not succeed because they are used to company’s, air condition, computer T.V etc. The main message is that we should stop polluting the klong unless we want to die in a matter of time, or stop polluting the earth.

I think that the main message is that we should stop polluting mainly and if we do we are just damaging the planet AND our own health. I think the predictions are kind of right but I think they overreacted so that it gets people’s attention. I think WE could change by reminding ourselves about that to prevent us rom polluting and if we see other people pollute you can tell THEM. I think we can prevent it from happening by telling other people to stop polluting.

I think the message is to stop polluting. They went into a scene that what will happen in a 100 years time if we are still polluting the earth and klong. We can stop it by stop throwing rubbish in the klong and on the floor. We should have more recycling companies too.

Do you think the predictions about the future were realistic?

Yes, I do think that they were realistic because look at the Klong now, are you happy about the sight that you are seeing? If we keep going on like this we will be left with nothing, we pollute the earth a lot and that should stop.

How do we prevent the future from being that way?

We should use reusable shopping bags instead of the plastic ones, and if you live close always walk instead of using a car which pollutes air, all these little things can make big differences to the earth.

The message that is trying to tell us that is stop polluting and the soi 15 will become a better place.

I think that they were realistic because the Klong is really dirty and I have seen people throwing rubbish in the KLONG! I think we can fix these problems by not polluting. For example we can stop polluting by not throwing rubbish or leave them. Also we can stop polluting by not using plastic bags.

    Hello, everyone!

The play contained some serious messages about life. What were they?

The message in the show Time Traveling Tuk Tuk was if you don’t stop polluting the klong, everything on soi 15 would be polluted so we would all have to move to another soi and soi 15 will be abandon. This is not only a problem of soi 15, but also a common problem of all over the world we live in. If we keep polluting, the planet will be full of rubbish and we would have no place to live, no air to breathe, no food to eat and no pure water to drink.

Do you think the predictions about the future were realistic?

Yes!, because many people still litter on the streets. They are ignorant and indifferent to the environment.

How do we prevent the future from being that way? What changes need to be made to the way we are living?

For example when the two main characters went back in time it was clean and peaceful because there were no plastic bags and no plastic bottles but now the technology has been advanced and we have convenient stuffs like plastic bags and plastic bottles. But we still need to practice 3Rs (Reduce, Recycle and Reuse). That’s what I think.

In Japan if you shop at a supermarket they ask you if you need a plastic bag or not. Many customers bring their own eco- bags, so people who don’t bring an eco-bag feel ashamed. It’s kind of like threatening customers but it’s really effective to raise awareness for environment. I think that companies and factories should make some eco projects and donate money to clean up the mess they made. I think we need to be able to balance the factories and nature otherwise everything will just collapse and it will be like the future of soi 15.

    Hi Everyone,

I think the messages in the play was ‘Don’t Pollute because we’re doing serious damage to the earth by polluting and like in the play, we (and the world) would soon disappear if we keep doing this.

I think the prediction about the future is realistic because we use a lot of non-biodegradable things and even if we do use biodegradable things, we still pollute by throwing them in places such as the Khlong and not the rubbish bin. One the ways nature is hurt is by this way and we depend on nature (clean air, crops, clean water and etc.). So basically, we’re hurting ourselves by this way.

We can do our bit for our future and our life by using less plastic things such as asking for no plastic bags at shops.

I think the plays message was to not litter/pollute.

I also think that the play wanted us to be aware that this might be our future if we keep on pouting like we are right now.

The play contained some serious and important messages that we should heed.
I think the messages were to stop polluting and be nice to other people. If we don’t stop polluting the environment, the future will be ruined. If we keep polluting, by 2050 the earth will be ruined and destroyed, instead of the mechanical future with hovercrafts and robots, like most people think. I also think they overreacted because in the future there might still be some people, but most likely they will have bad health and disease problems.
To change that, we should start reusing what we have, like plastic bags, and use them when shopping instead of using new plastic bags. When the characters when back in time, the city was clean and unpolluted, because there were no cars or motorcycles which pollute the environment by sending out lots of Carbon Dioxide from their exhaust pipes, which cause global warming. It’s actually like a cycle, because in long traffic jams, people leave their engine running, and that causes global warming. Global warming is one of the reasons that the world is more hotter now, and because it is hotter, people leave their engines on for a long time and idle while their engines should be off( you can see this everyday, even in our parking lot after school!), which in turn makes the world more hotter and creates more global warming, and then the cycle starts again.
In some countries, like Yuki mentioned, people have to bring reusable or Eco-bags and if they don’t bring them they have to pay a fine.
I think this play was meant to make us aware of our lives and our future, and what we can do to save the earth.

I think there message was that we should not litter and pullout we would have a brighter future. When they traveled to 2111 the place had no air no people and no water. I think that could be true but not in only 100 years.

  17. October 20, 2011 at 7:40 am

I have not seen it but I have heard about it being about pollution and think it might even take 10 years till it is like that if we continue at this rate we are destroying the world and when that moment comes we cannot blame anything but our selves we are HYPOCRITES! We say oh do not litter then we litter we are seriously stupid!
