Opportunities for Y6 Leadership Roles
Dear Year 6 Students… there are two outstanding chances for you to take on leadership roles available at the moment. Please read the descriptions and then make a comment to tell us which one you are interested in, and why you would be good in that role.
Opportunity #1: Early Years Pets
This will be a team of Year 6 students who take responsibility for the feeding and general care of the Early Years pets – rabbits, chickens, turtles, hedgehogs, guinea pigs and hamsters. It will involve spending time in EY during breaks and lunchtimes, as well as some lesson times when necessary. You need to be:
- Good at working with little children
- Interested in animals
- Organized
- Punctual
- Committed
Opportunity #2: The Student Health & Safety Committee (NIPTA)
This is an outstanding chance to really shape the future of the school and to be involved in real decision-making about health and safety issues here at NIST. Working closely with the NIPTA Health & Safety Committee, you will think about all aspects of student welfare here at NIST. You need to be:
- Interested in student issues
- Interested in health and safety
- Committed to being part of a serious committee
- Confident and ready to take on a serious challenge

I am interested in EY pets becuase I like animals and I once had a rabbit so I know how to take care of animals.
like Jimin I can handle the animals because I am not afraid of them,
and for the EY kids I have a young sister so I can teach them how to take care of the animals in a fun way
i would LOVE to take care of the animals in the EY center, i love animals and i was thinking of becoming a vet when i grow up. So i could be really good with animals and i think it will be a really fun thing to do 😀
I also am VERY great with little kids. I would love to take care of little kids because i have a cousin who is 3 years old and she says she LOVES ME! And i love her too and little kids are SOO cute!
I am also very interested in EY pets because I love to take care of pets and look after them. Also I think I am knowledgable at pets because I have 2 hedgehogs, 4 hamsters, 3 snails and 10 fishes. I will be very happy to help Eys to take care of their pets.
I think I am also good at working with younger kids too because I actually have a young brother.
I would really like to take care of the animals in the EY center. I adore animals and I like little children. I would love to teach the EY’s how to take care of animals. I think I’m organized enough to do this.
I always wanted to take care of the animals in the EY center. I have 2 hamsters and 1 cat. When little kids come to my house they like me so much. 🙂
I am interested in EY pets because I had only fish not animals that we can touch and sometimeswhen I go to my dads mum house sometimes I get to pet their dogs and feed them so I know a little bit of how to take care of pets.
I would like to voulentier to take care of the pets in the EY center. Because when i was younger i had chickens and other animals and i loved taking care of them. so i want do that again.

I would like to help with the EY animals because I love animals the are very, very cute. I also want to do it so I can help my little sister. I also like doing jobs that other people do not want to do like cleaning out the cage. I know a lot of kids in EY and I want to say hi to them and help them!

I would like to take care of the EY pets because I love taking care of pets, because it is really fun and interesting. And I can learned things like what to feed the chickens and how they behave.
I would like to do EY pets because I enjoy taking care of animals and working with little kids. I think it would be fun and enjoyable to teach the little kids how to take care of the animals they see everyday. I also think I’m organized and commited enough to do this.
I also know how to take care of little kids because I have a little sister who I take care of and I know how to take care of animals and pets a bit because my friend was an animal lover and she showed me how to take care of animals.
I would like to do EY pets because i have a pet at home and i love animals and i have always wanted to take care of the EY pets. I am also really good at working with little kids because I have a little brother and i always have to work with him.i also think i am oraganized and commited to do this.
I would like to take care of the EY pets Because I LOVE animals and I also like to see little kids play the kid in EY is so cute and also I think I have enough time and I think I am organize to do this. I also used to have 1 puffer fish,2 turtle and 2 hamster.I think it is fun to see animals play and how they act ( Iike chickens walking).
I really wanted to help take care of early years pets because I like pets I’m also interested in animals and teaching kids how to take care of them. I really wanted to do this job because it will make me more responsible and I always wanted a class pet.

I think I am good at taking care of animals and I really love animals so I might be good at this job. I also like working with little kids and I am good at it because at home I also help take care and play with my younger cousins. I really like doing this job and I will like to be a part of it. I am also a careful person so when I work with little kids I am quite aware. I will also be committed to this activity and not forget to go.

I would like to take care of the early years pets because I like to take care of animals because they are very cute and loveable I also have a pet at home it is a hamster i don’t know how to clean the cage but if I do this I will learn how to clean my hamsters cage instead of my mom cleaning it for me. I also like to work with kids and teach them how to do new stuff so that they can be individual and so that they don’t need us to help them anymore they could do it by themselves.

I would like to b in the NIPTA thing who think of children safety and rules. I would like to be in that group because I would want to make rules that are fair for children and adults. Also it will be a good practice for my future in y13 where you help people and get good grades. Its a good chance to stand out.

I would really love to do both but I think that i am more interested in animals.
Actually, I wouldn’t want to do the EY pets because animals are but I don’t find them so interesting, I would like to sign up for the Health and Safety committee because I am concerned about the safety in NIST and I would like to do something about it and I would like to do the Yearbook because I would like to express myself in a creative way and I love photography so it is also a passion.
I think that I could be part of the Health and Safety committee because I really want to be involved in the health of other people and when I was NEST I really wanted to be more involved in it than just singing a song.

I’m Noam and I would like to be in the NIPTA commity because I care about the student’s issues and taking care of the issues. I am very interested health and in our safety. I care about our health, I care that everybody will be healthy and will enjoy school bright eyed and bushy taled. I care about us being safe in our school and that nobody gets hert. I am ready for the challenge.
I am interested in taking care of the ey pets because my inquiry is about the ey pets and I love pets so much, when I am in Australia I always look at the pet shop also in Hua Hin. I want to learn all I can about animals because I want to be a veterinarian.
I am interested in taking care of the E.Y pets because I really love pets and I take care of turtles, cats and dogs before so I think that this job fits me. I don’t mind being bitten by the animals. I also want to learn all I can to take care of animals in the school.
I’d like to be in the NIPTA health and Safety program because, I think the school could be safer and healthier. I care about the school safety because people can get hurt very badly, and get very sick.
I would not like to take care the pets in EY because I don’t like pets because if I go close to the pets that has furr it would make me sick and sneeze alot and also I haven’t have a injection for not sneezing and cats and dogs furr etc. I am so sorry I said that I could not take care the pets in EY. I want to do the animal care
I would like to be a part of the EY pets because I am very good with little children and I am interested in animals bacause i have pets of my own and I know how to take care of them. I am also organized punctual and committed.
I am good at working and playing with kids, I’m also interested on animals and I’m really organized sometimes.
I wouldn’t like to inquire into animals because there are fury and disgusting and also i am allergic to animals thats why. The second reason is because i don’t want to clean their dropping and urine. And if the animal dies i wouldn’t like to take responsibility. And that is why i wouldn’t like to inquire into the animals at nist.
I Think i will be good at looking after the E.Y pets because I have had pets of my own and I looked after them really well. i also think I will be good at it because I am good with little kids. I am careful with kids and animals. I promise i will be committed to it. I also want to learn more about animals so this will give me the chance to get more knowledge about animals.
I like to care the E.Y pets because I LOVE animals and little kids, and even when I go to different country or place, I every time go to the zoo and I loved it.
I am interested at E.Y cause I have a rabbit and a hamster and I love pets and I think this job is good for me. I want to have a experience with the E.Y pets. I can take good care of animals cause I have the experience with pets like rabbits, hamster, etc.

I found this interested because I like to take care of animals and I know how to take care of little kids because I have a brother. I think I would choose this one because I am not interested in the safety committees.
If I would have to choose I would like to take care of the ey pets. Because I have 1 rabbit, 1dog and 7 fishes at home. So I feel very comfortable with pets I also love playing with kids But I would prefer to stay with my friends at lunch time because this is the last year in elementary.
I am interested in EY pets because I like animals. Also I know how to take care of pets because I have a pet at home. My mom thought I was responsible to take care of another life.

Dear 6SS, I’m so excited that many of you are interested in working with us to take care of the EY pets! With such a large amount of you ready to help with this I think it would be best if a few of the EY teachers and I could meet with you one morning. We are often available before 8:30am, and we could come over to your class or meet you in EY to do a tour of the pets. We can discuss things like rosters and essential agreements about the care then. Hopefully you’ll eventually be able to come over independently and collect small groups of EY students to go and help feed the pets and other routines. We could keep some kind of record and have some kind of I.D. Looking forward to hearing from you of some times and days that suit you to meet.

I am very intrestsd in taking care of EY pets becuase I have quite good work with little kids and also intrested to see all the pets in there.
I think it whould be great if I could go into the EY area to help take care of the pets and to meet all the little children that in a couple of years will be the same age as I am right now. I also think I would be a great little helper of cleaning up after them and feeding them because I used to have a big dog named Sweets (she a girl) I used to have to clean up after her and feed her, but now she lives with my grandparents. And I know I will be very committed to doing all this because I just love pets and would do anything to keep them alive longer.
We are very serious about this. Are you ready to give up your time for this?

I am interest in taking care of EY pets because I think it’s good to teach EYs how to takecare of the pets. And also it is helping the EY teacher to rest when we are working on the pets.
I would like to volunteer to do EY pets because I LOVE animals and I think that it would be an exciting opportunity to be with them.

Hi I’m Nicky from 6GD and I am hoping to join the health and safety group.
Firstly I would like to join because a few days ago I heard that a child collapsed on the playground and I found that really disturbing.
Secondly because I think that I cooperate with people quite well, have some good ideas, maybe get some new friends by being with people from other classes and socialising with them.
Also because I want NIST to be the safest school in Thailand so that if later on in our lives we will know that if our children go to NIST they’ll know how good a school we are.

Hi I am Rishi from 6GD and I am interested in the Health and Safety group.
I think I will be a good fit because
1. Me and my family are all into health
2. We haven’t been to a hospital in 4 years.
3. We have this special tool called EFT I will explain later, we use it for all our health issues
4. I could share this with other students.
5. About safety I have seen some students get into accidents and I feel like doing something about the safety in our school.
