Growing Up – Kids’ Health

Boys read the “Boy Stuff” section and Girls read the “Girl Stuff” section! You can click “listen” to hear someone read the words if the reading gets tough. Click on different things and basically explore the whole section. Get one of your parents or an older brother/sister to sit with you if you like. Make a comment and share:

  • Something you already know
  • Something new that you learned
  • Something that surprised you
  • Something you think all girls/boys should definitely know
  • Something you don’t think is important

    Yeah I agree.
I learned a new word that is gross

    Scrotum

I never knew that there were scientific words that are related to puberty. I already knew that you get hairs and furs all over your body. Something that surprises me is that before I knew the word scrotum, and before I didn’t know the meaning, I searched it in Google Images to find it out. But when I saw the picture, it was so gross. ”

The thing which I already knew was that basically during puberty your hormons change and get ready to be able to have a kid.
The thing I learned was that you usually get your period 2 years after your breast start developing.
The thing that surprised me was that women at the age of 45 to 55 go into something called menopause this is when you stop getting your period and you can’t get pregnant any more.
I think it is important that we learn about the changes that will effect us and maybe even our lives so that we can be prepared for whatever happens and we should know how to handle everything that is coming in a good way.
I don’t think it is important for us to take in information which we will not need or use in our live.
