Soderling sends Federer packing

History’s best and current world no.1 Roger Federer was sent packing out of the French Open by Swede Robin Soderling 3-6, 6-3, 7-5, 6-4. This was a 2009 final rematch and Soderling got his revenge in fine fashion with beautiful displaying of serves and forehands.

Federer can now lose his no.1 ranking to Rafa Nadal because he fell out before the semis. This was a Quarterfinal. Rafa needs to win the cup to be no. 1 and save Pete Sampras’s record from breaking. The 16 time grandslam champion has to depend on Tomas Berdych, Robin Soderling or Novak Djokovic. Djokovic has a god chance as well if he wins this and wins Halle [coming up soon-Grass Court Season Begins] He’s got the No. 1 ranking. He can also take Number 2 if he wins this GS.

In fact, all Roger fans pray that Robin reaches the final because only he knows how to play against him as he beat Rafa en route to last years final.
