”Home” Homework

I showed my parent this video clip and this what we discussed:

After watching the “HOME” video clip I feel that it has many interesting facts of the world or the earth we live in then and now. The world is the sphere of human existence whereas the here that we find ourselves in. The “Nature” directly experienced by humans is Planet Earth. Beginning as a cloud of dust, Earth cooled, solidified, then over four billion years produced on its surface an amazing range of seas and continents, soils and atmospheric climates, rivers and lakes, forests and grasslands with bacteria, fungi, plants and animals. It was very clean and pleasant, with cool oceans, blue skies and the same amount of landmass as today but now it has become highly populated and polluted amount of landmass as today but now it has become highly populated and polluted.

The very good example that the lady differentiated was the streams of water running swiftly down from the mountains and our lungs that breathe in fresh air. But we as humans have made it difficult to even breathe fresh air through our selfish ways. So before our lungs our highly congested, like the way the cars are congested or jammed through pollution, we all must seriously lend a helping to stop pollution.  “Thinking like a Mountain,” humanity needs to “Think like the Ecosphere.”  Until people begin to search for wisdom in Earth and in its ecosystems, taking the long and wide view of the living atmosphere (air, land, water, and organic communities) in which they live, move, and have their being, the surrounding Earth “environment” will continue to get worse. Trying to “Think like an Ecosystem” is, I believe, one road to wisdom.  It encourages taking our eyes off ourselves and substituting for the human-centered point of view a new and thoroughly different one.  It implies that we, as Earthlings, can learn something from our source and support: the Earth.
