Leonardo DaVinci

We have been doing some life drawing in the classroom today – fully clothed! Leonardo DaVinci was one of the first artists to really understand and show the proportions of the human body – how big the head is, how long the arms are in relation to the rest of the body.
What interesting relationships are there between the sizes of different parts of the body?

Unapproved World Cup Song because of Racism
This is an unaproved version of the World Cup song sung by Shakira. It was unapproved because it wasnt sung by an African and the SAF Commitee wanted an African to sing it so K’naan stood up and sang Waving Flag which I put up earlier.
I cant take any action on this matter but I can say to the SAF that you are being racist and not accepting a song better than the chosen one.
P.S.
1. I like it more than Waving Flag.

I have left the toughest challenge for the week until the end – enjoy.

What is the 100th number in the sequence?

“Get Those Thinking Caps On” 4
I hope those brains aren’t overworked because I have another challenge for you:
A book has 500 pages, numbered 1, 2, 3 and so on.
How many times does the digit 1 appear in the page number?

Need Help!
For the hydroponics I’m going to plant the small seedlings on thursday. I need your help to do this. I will appreciate if anyone comes and help. It will only take a few minutes and we won’t get wet. This crop will be Thai vegetables so it will grow quickier than salad so we can harvest on the last week of school.
“Get Those Thinking Caps On” 3
Here is the latest question to make you think:
In three bowling games, Alice scores 139, 143, and 144.
What score will Alice need in a fourth game in order to have an average score of 145 for all four games?

“Get Those Thinking Caps On” 2
So I hope you are ready for another challenge:
Rectangular cards, 2 centimetres by 3 centimetres, are cut from a rectangular sheet 2 metres by 2 metres.
What is the greatest number of cards that can be cut from the sheet?

HOUSE TOMORROW
Tomorrow is house again from what i got from my mum’s email,
Dear Parents,
By now you should have received these two notices. If you have not, please see the attached electronic copies.
*** Please note that there is a slight change to the dates when the Year 6’s will be attending secondary house. This will now happen on May 11 and May 25 and not on May 18 as previously advised.
Kind regards,
Chris
So you better come in your house shirts again tomorrow, i think we should go straight to house but it depends on Mr. Sam
“Together we can…”

This slogan was written as part of the “Bangkok Cleanup” campaign, so the sentence goes like this “Together we can clean up the city”.
How many different ways could that sentence be finished? Think about what is needed in Thailand in order to create a positive future.
“Together we can………………………….”
