The “ACE MACHINE”

Ivo Karlovic, the world no 22 in tennis played a stunning match on Thursday at Moscow. The 2 metre 10 man, who is also know as the ace machine due to his amount of aces and big serves, served 108 aces! Can anyone believe that. 108 aces in just 1 hour 23 mins. He beat Stepanek 6-2 6-0. He broke the record once more after he lost the record and Federer took over. This is the record from the 21st century [2000]

Pete Sampras: 22 aces at Wimbledon 2000, held for 2 yrs 1 day

Goran Ivanisevic: 34 aces at the US open 2002, held for 3 yrs and 2 mths [exact]

Andy Roddick: 40 aces at the Toronto Masters series 2005, held for 4 months 20 days

Roddick again: 42 aces at the Aussie Open 2006, held for 1 year 8 mths Avg. Karlovic speed

Ivo Karlovic: 50 aces at the Thailand Open 2007, held for 1 yr 11 mths

Roger Federer: 54 aces at Wmbledon in 2009, held for 4 mths 1 day

Ivo Karlovic: 108 aces at the Davis Cup match between Croatia and the Czech Republic 2009

Cool right?

    Hi Ranvir,

You had better check your information. I’m pretty sure he didn’t serve 108 aces in one match. Can you prove that he did?
